In The Wild: The Woodland Sweater
In The Wild is a new series I’m starting here on The Wool Journal. I wanted a place to share how Marty Lynn knitwear looks and feels out in everyday life, styled, loved, and worn by the people who make this work worthwhile.
For the very first edition, I couldn’t imagine a better person to feature than Kristen Haines (@_luna.goods_). Kristen has been one of my favourite accounts to follow on Instagram for a long time. She creates handcrafted leather bags, shares thoughtful styling tips, and works as a brand photographer. In fact, when I first founded Marty Lynn, Kristen was the very first person I reached out to for photography, and the rest is history.
Here she is wearing The Woodland Sweater in Aspen, Size 3. Kristen has such an effortless sense of style, and I love how she pairs timeless pieces together. This sweater was designed to be a staple, and seeing it styled in the wild brings it to life in a whole new way.
The Woodland Sweater has quickly become one of my most-loved designs, and hearing from people who wear it daily has been so encouraging. Here’s what some have shared with me:

These stories are the reason I design. To me, knitwear isn’t finished until it’s lived in, and seeing these sweaters worn and loved in so many different ways makes me excited for what’s still to come.
