Jillian Barvir knitting on a flatbed manual knitting machine

How it's made

  • The wool and alpaca I use is sourced from Canadian sheep and milled locally.
  • It is left undyed to preserve natural colour and compostability (I plan to do some natural dyeing in the future for those who love colour).
  • Each garment is designed and handcrafted by me, Jillian Barvir, in my rural Alberta tiny home studio, using a flatbed manual knitting machine and traditional hand-knitting and crochet techniques.
  • All pieces are made-to-order, meaning no overproduction and no waste.
